Smart life app doesnt work

Recently purchased 2 zonko smart plugs from Amazon. While trying to set them up on the smart life app I get the message that the app only runs on a 2.4gh frequency and to try again. I went into my router and my router is already set on 2.4 gh. How do I get this to work?

    Most routers toady can support dual bands. What make and model router are you using and what device are you using to set up and configure these plugs? 

    according to the specs 
    Support system: Android 4.2. above and iOS 8 above system
