Being on a LAN or not is fairly irrelevant. It's the bandwidth available from that LAN to your ISP. And that ISP's connection to upstream ISP's which determine the speed of delivery, as well as Techtarget's ability to serve up pages. There's also the issue of how fast all dependent parts of the pages can be rendered by your browser, such as the ads (which don't come from Techtarget, rather some site called adbureau.net), and other such things.
The pages are acceptably fast to me on my G4 and G5 macs over a 1.5Mb dsl line.
