This is more of a configuration question. I'm on Windows 10 and I would like to find my video files more directly through Windows Search. How can I do that? Basically - I don't want to type 'video' every single time. Thanks.

in search, or from task bar get to file explorer.  Click on the QUICK ACCESS in the left column then in the right pane, upper right text box key in your search extension like .MP4 it will then list all matching files… Win 10 really did a number on features like this that make it a pain.

Not necessary to type the word 'video' every time. In general, video file formats are like .avi/.mp4/.mpg/.vob /.flv and .3gp also. So if you type once the extension names one by one like *.avi/*.mpg and so on windows keeps the search for future use. Next time when you search the file like as mentioned, when click on the search bar, (windows explorer/ file manager), the windows shows all the formats and just click to search the same.
