Should we host our own DNS?

We have our own ISP that's giving us a DNS for our domain. Here's the problem: It's imposing limitations for adding records. So we have thought about running our own DNS. Should we go this route? Should we just have our ISP do this?

    It's hard to say whether you "should" or not.

    What restrictions are causing a problem? Why are they problems? Do you have staff who understand DNS management? Do you have equipment for hosting DNS?
