Should I go with i3 or i5 processors for my new PC?

For playing PC games like: Battlefield, Call of Duty, Crysis, Fry Cry and other latest games - AMD FX 6300 3.5 GHZ 6 core, 16 GB RAM DDR 3, gigabyte 4 RAM slot mbb, cooler master 600 wt, Nvidia gts 770 or 960 (suggest which one). And is it okay or shall i go with i3 or i5 processors?

I only know few things about gaming systems. 

Just about everyone I know that is really serious seems to have an AMD system and a kick ass video card.
Sorry I can’t help. Being an Intel fan I would go with a high end Xeon Processor.
