Backup
I have roughly 200 GB (or so) of product images in my Amazon S3. My question is related to my backup strategy. Should I actually back up that data somewhere else or just leave it in S3? Thank you very much.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

To keep your business on the safer side it’s important to have own backups. First of all check whether AWS offer any solution for it in a different location or simply prefer other cloud service provider that offer Cloud storage to maintain backups.

If you want or need a backup of the data, then, yes, you should back it up. We can say that backups are usually a very good practice, but we can't say if it should be done in any general case. Much more info is needed about the content and any business requirements before an actual 'yes' or 'no' would be meaningful. (And that implies hiring someone who can make the determination or obtaining the appropriate training or background experience.)

The best thing to do the backup internally and then clone it to cloud as another DR copy. This is the safest scenario.
