Shift technology from AS/400 to big data

Hi Group,
I have been working on AS/400 platform for the past 9 years. As the jobs on AS/400 are getting obsolete, I want to learn Bigdata. I am also interested in this new technology, but am not sure whether to go for it. Could anyone tell this how this course would help me?

    I don't see the AS/400 iSeries platform going away any time soon. You can run a lot of things on this powerful platform including Big Data like CharlieBrown mentioned.
