Setting up VPN on NT 4.0 server with XP Clients

I am trying to implement VPN on an NT 4.0 server in a local office. Local office uses local ISP and as obtained 5 public IP addresses. Remote office is using satellite for internet connection. There appears to be some previous VPN connection (?? not used) configuration. I'm not sure how to add the public IPs giving the remote users access to server.

In NT4.0 you use RAS to implement VPN. As I remember it was possible to download RRAS kit to NT4.0. Put/use a firewall in front of the NT4.0 server and use a public IP on the Outside of the firewall and make the firewall map the public ip to the “outside” (the outside NIC of NT4.0 server) of the NT4.0 server. If you enable “IP Routing” service on the protocol (I think) you’ll be able to route IP traffic through the NT4.0 server otherwise I think it is possible to select that RAS Users should be able to connect to “this machine” or “whole network”. Maybe yoy have to set something up for the users – make them a member of RAS Users group or something or enable them pr. user, but I don’t recall – it’s been 8 years since I last touched these things (NT4.0 VPN)
