    List all programs that you think might reference your service program. For each program name, run DSPPGMREF and see if your service program is listed.

    Do the same for all service programs that you think might reference your service program.

    You can send output from DSPPGMREF to an *OUTFILE and query the file to see if your name shows up.

    If you want to use APIs instead of DSPPGMREF with an *OUTFILE, you might start with a related series by Bruce Vining. The last article in the sequence is The API Corner: Finding Modules in a *PGM and that article contains links to the earlier ones in the series.

    The series isn't an exact match for your question, but it contains code that would be similar to what you would need. It teaches related ideas.
