I've been having a ton of issues saving my Microsoft Excel file to CSV. When I'm saving it, many of the characters change from dash to a question mark. Why would this be happening? Do I have to do some encoding changes? Thanks so much.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

All you should have to do is click on FILE then click SAVE AS and select the file type CSV. If you have anything other than text, like an image or graph, in your spreadsheet that may be causing the conversion issues.

IF you are getting strange data, is there any special formatting in Excel that may not be converting? You should get a message stating that it may not save correctly if this is the case.

First, select all the data of that sheet and open a fresh sheet. Paste it as Data. Now save this sheet as CSV.
