We use Dell PowerEdge NAS in our development setup, currently consisting of 40 VMs , but we observed some delay while accessing the VMs over NAS . IN future, we may have up to 150-200 VMs, in that case , which would be better, either NAS or SAN, Dell NAS has got 12 slots for hard disks, till what extent can i extend my hard disk, is there a limit on that. Would it be costlier if we go for SAN from NAS, as we can still reutilize the existing SAS and SATA drives from my NAS.
Software/Hardware used: Dell poweredge NAS, 12 slots, 4 intel SSD's , 8 SAS 4TB hard disks
