Samba AD DC with Bind & DHCP

I am trying to set up Samba 4.0 as an active directory domain controller on FreeBSD 9.2 with Bind 9.9.5 and isc dhcpd 4.3.0. DHCP is configured for secure dynamic updates to Bind as needed. The Samba Samba server is to replace a Windows 2003 server AD DC that died. The server has multiple NICs and several of the "HowTo"s specified including lo0 (localhost) in the "bind interface" configuration. However, if it is included, startup fails so only the active NIC is included in the smb.conf configuration. Everything appears to work properly with two exceptions:
1 - the dynamic updates upon dhcp allocation / renewal fail. At that time I get the following error messages:
Feb 5 00:09:33 fw1 named[21151]: samba_dlz: spnego update failed
Feb 5 00:09:33 fw1 dhcpd: Unable to add forward map from (client machine name) to (dhcp address assigned): REFUSED
2 - I have no printers or shares on the Samba machine and get the following messages every few minutes:
Feb 5 13:21:40 fw1 smbd[33815]: [2015/02/05 13:21:40.760935, 0] ../source3/printing/print_cups.c:151(cups_connect)
Feb 5 13:21:40 fw1 smbd[33815]: Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost:631 - Interrupted system call
Feb 5 13:21:40 fw1 smbd[21225]: [2015/02/05 13:21:40.769980, 0] ../source3/printing/print_cups.c:528(cups_async_callback)
Feb 5 13:21:40 fw1 smbd[21225]: failed to retrieve printer list: NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
.....
Feb 5 13:34:40 fw1 smbd[33871]: [2015/02/05 13:34:40.863442, 0] ../source3/printing/print_cups.c:151(cups_connect)
Feb 5 13:34:40 fw1 smbd[33871]: Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost:631 - Interrupted system call
Feb 5 13:34:40 fw1 smbd[21225]: [2015/02/05 13:34:40.871813, 0] ../source3/printing/print_cups.c:528(cups_async_callback)
Feb 5 13:34:40 fw1 smbd[21225]: failed to retrieve printer list: NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
I would like to find a way to eliminate the smbd error messages, but the dynamic updates pose the real problem. Can someone tell me what is wrong? Or, what I need to do to find the problem?
