iSeries run-away job
Is there a way I can automate a monitoring process that will monitor for any job that is eating up DASD within a specific time frame and then send an alert? Say job ABC is running and at one point, say within a 2 minute time frame, it starts to use up a certain percentage of DASD. I would want an alert sent out and then have the job terminated. If there is a way to do this, can you provide some example code that I could modify for my system?

I don't think it can be job specific, it's been years since i was in that end of IT. I do know you can adjust the emergency threshold where you start to get warning messages when you start running out of disk space. My concern would be is this one specific job that you have a concern with and if so what type of job or command is being run that is causing the problem.
