Good Morning. My team doing one maintenance program(BPCS) from the production deportment. That means Based on the daily claint assignment i have to change the order no of the product, modifying the existing coding.
Im also team member of that team. But i did not involve. My task is i want to give the daily status report and weekly status report to the claint. But i don't know how to prepare that statuse report(daily and weekly)that means how can i start and where can i start, how to finish that report, finaly how i want to submit to the claint?
how to prepare that statuse report(daily and weekly) that means...
how can i start
Make some lists. The team has members. The members should have skills, talents or specialties; their assignments should match their abilities. Each member is a resource; give each resource a name that says what they do. They should have tasks to work on and tasks should have ways to recognize when they're complete. List the resource names and the tasks.
where can i start
Start by estimating how much progress has been made for each task. Ask each resource to provide an estimate. Ask for any particular actions that were done. Have searches been designed? Have the related programs been chosen? Have any changes already been made?
how to finish that report
Sign your name or just include a signature block like you would on an e-mail. It's a status report; not an analysis that requires conclusions or a closing.
how i want to submit to the claint?
How is anything submitted to that client? Hand carry it or attach it to an e-mail or store it in a network directory named StatusReports and send the path to the client. If anyone else has worked with the client, ask how communication was done.
If there are no guidelines at all, then speak to the client and ask what they want. Make a phone call, introduce yourself, say you'll be preparing status reports and ask if they prefer receiving them in a particular format or through a particular delivery method.
Never be worried about asking about preferences. Have suggestions ready.
