How do I restore QDF file from Notepad which I accidentally set while l was trying to open from my eternal hard drive on new comp with Windows 10.

    Right click the file and click Properties, on next dialog box, in general tab, click change button, and from here you can change the default application to open the same.

    What do you mean by "restore"? Notepad doesn't restore files.

    Maybe all you need to do is open Notepad by itself, then drag-and-drop the file onto the open and empty Notepad window. Steps after that depend on what Notepad does. Older versions can act very different from newer.
