RESTful Web services
Hi !

I need to provide a web service, which has to respond for a GET request. The input parameters will be as a JSON file structure. For ex {"name":"Sureyz", "role":"AS/400"}. A RESTful web service on IBM i should get this and result a JSON file as {"Result":"Found"} , The question is how to configure this JSON input parameters on Web Services server and pass on to the RPGLE as a parameter.

Thanks.

There a few good guides to getting them set up like this LINK.

IF you still have issues getting it to work, post your code and we will take a look at it,.

    Hi Todd,

I have checked your link but that was not helpful for the requirement. We just need to know how do we mentioned the JSON input parameters in RPGLE? also a sample program to do this RESTful service using JSON input and output.

If you're looking for documentation on calling Java from RPG, the ILE RPG Language Reference has the authoritative details. A general discussion from IBM is in Calling Java Methods from ILE RPG. And Prototyping and Calling Java Methods from RPG gives a general tutorial.
