In Windows 10, could I reset my file history? If so, how? I want to remove all of it and basically start over. I tried turning it off in Settings but it screwed up my custom configuration. What can I do?

Before doing this, you have to take decision, that which files are retained/ which files are deleted. It is better to take backups and then move for the next. Type file history into the Cortana powered search box. Once it opens, it opens the connected drive. Here you open advanced settings. Next follow on screen instructions to make it proper. You need to be careful doing this. If you do attempt this, take a backup of your system. The follow what Subhendu said. Is there a reason for wanting to do this? If it's to try and fix other issues just remember if it fails you are putting the same issues and problem back on you computer if you ever need to restore your system. There may be an easier solution if we understood the reason behind the request.
