I need a list of some good questions to ask during interviews with Managers of our Corporate Website.  I need to find out what they need as far as reports and how they would like the data displayed without being too technical.

What line of business is it? Service, manufacturing, distribution, sales? They all can have unique needs.

The key question for this kind of requirements gathering meetings is "why".

You need to understand the real goal behind anything they ask, because users (which includes managers) tend to ask for what they think is the solution, instead of explaining what they really want to accomplish, or the real end goal or problem they want to solve.

When it comes to reports, it is key to understand what they are going to use the reports for, and why they need any piece information they want included.

With that understanding, you can many times suggest better solutions than what they originally asked.
