I do not know how to design a report that will display the data the way I need. It is hard to describe here, but I will try with a simple example.
Each record is based on a date. On each date there are entries to 0-200 accounts for various $$ amounts.
IE: on 1/1/12. acct 120100 for $5, acct 120202 for $10; on 1/3/12 acct 120100 for $50; acct 120202 for $1, acct 120700 for $100, etc. The number of accounts per day can vary. The report I need would list the date down the left of the page and the account number (a-z) across the top for a date range specified (ie 1/1/12 to 1/10/12). Only the accounts that have activity on any of the dates in the query would display along the top (showing blank or zero for the account amount on the dates for which there is no activity on that account.) I am not concerned with how wide this could make the report (it is not printed out). I am using ACCESS 2007 /2010
