I play a ton of videos through my VLC player but this odd issue just started to occur. Whenever I startup a video, there are title bars at the top of the screen (looks like the file name). Even when I'm in full screen view, it's still there. How can I remove that completely?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can hide just about everything at the top but the window itself with CTRL + H.

This is for version 2.2.6 Umbrella

If that does not fix it for you let us know what version of VLC you are using.

Try Using different theme or just
    GOTO View >>Minimal Interface.
    Done.

Check the settings, like open VLC then click Tools > Preferences. Here you can check everything, if it looks odd or any option that can not match with your expectations, change that one. If it does not help much, you can uninstall/reinstall the same application.

If you are flexible, you can try other media player like Windows media player (Windows OS). However some codes are necessary to install (free to use) to view almost all kind of movies extensions.
