How to remove indents in Microsoft Word

This might be the largest Microsoft Word document that I've ever created (it's definitely more than 50,000 words). But there's just one issue: I made a bunch of indents when I was writing it (had to write it on my smartphone sometimes) and I need to remove all of those. When I try, it's screwing up the formatting. What can I do?

How are you removing the indents now? Removing the indents will change the formatting of the rest of the document. The reason is it may allow more text on a line that would not fit before. This should be minimal though. You may want to try the find/replace method but look for special characters. Then you can step through the one you may want to keep or skip them.

You can remove indents in MS Word by using the Format command. Open the document, & highlight the paragraph (better to select piece of paragraph separately) you want to remove indents, and right click on it, then choose Paragraph. In Paragraph dialog box now specify Left option to 0cm, Right option to 0cm, & make the Special option to "None". Click OK to remove indents. Next select another paragraph and do the same. Of course it may affect your settings.

Moreover you can write a VBA to remove indents in MS Word. But before doing that, please take another copy of this document (backup) and keep in a safe place/another drive.
