Ads aren't viruses. They're just ads.

Of course, if you're visiting sites that commonly host garbage ads, then any page that you view would be questionable. An ad-blocker might make no difference.

Also, ad-blockers tend to block mostly legitimate ads. There is nothing about an ad perse that makes it detectable. Only when it is served from known ad servers or is specifically structured to make it recognizable will it likely be caught. A malicious "ad" is more likely to be structured as a simple embedded image or an otherwise normal page element. It may be served by a potentially short-lived server that will be replaced by another as soon as it becomes known.

First uninstall anti-adblocker from add remove program. Now open chrome, (take backup of bookmarks etc.) click tools > extensions and remove all unknown extensions. Now reset chrome by deleting the current user to make sure nothing is left behind. Close and run chrome again.
