Remote Control
Hi, I purchased a fire TV from HSN and when I went to connect it to my TV several weeks later, I have not been able to open the remote to put the batteries in. I called HSN and I was informed to contact Amazon. The fire TV was purchased in April 2016. The remote is a reject, it has no opening to place the batteries. I would like to have a remote that works. Please inform me what my next step. I have tried to locate a direct number to speak with someone by phone. I have been unsuccessful.

Other than customer care, no one can help you in the proper way. It is better to contact amazon/ their service center to overcome this issue.

If you used a credit card to do the purchase, you can refuse to pay that portion of your bill. They will then contact the provider.

This is not the right way to get help from them. Ask them politely and narrate your issue. You must contact local authorized service center for getting help. Every business has some policies, without these, they can not survive in the such competitive market. So, if you ask them in a proper way, they must help you.
