Regarding report generation, how can I skip remaining lines in Page 1 and print the other report in Page 2 in COBOL/400?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

More detail on the specifics are needed. Posting the code will let us understand the workflow and variables being used. It sounds simple enough like you may just want to trigger a page overflow at a certain point in your logic processing. Not knowing what the condition trigger is makes it hard to give you an example.

It's not clear what is meant by "report generation". On IBM i, the ILE COBOL and COBOL/400 compilers don't implement the report generator feature of standard COBOL.

So if you simply mean writing records to a printer file, you skip the writing of the remaining lines and start executing the instructions that write to page 2. Exactly how your logic would get that done will depend on how you've written the program to write report records. Since we can't see your program, we can't suggest how to change what you have.
