I'm pretty sure one of my children has been playing around with my Windows 10 account. Now it says I'm a guest user (not the administrator). I can't access it at all. What should I do?

What do you mean by "can't access it at all"? Are you seeing just a blank screen?

If you mean that a 'guest' user can't access admin functions nor your files or apps, you're correct. But you should only need to log off the 'guest' session and log back on as yourself.

Is there a reason you can't do that?

Click on the windows icon and sign out or change account then try again. If one of your kids was playing with the account, ask them what they did or they will lose privileges to the computer. These are common questions and basically they are looking for ways around PC security. As we cannot verify this is truly the case and you are the rightful owner of the device some of us may not offer the way around it.

Suggesting to create a new user account and check if the issue persists. Press Start > Settings & then go to settings. Now type 'Add Delete and Manage Other User Accounts' in Search box. Next add an account with any name. Now restart and try to login with this new account.

One more thing you can try. On Search bar, type as cmd right click on the cmd & select run as administrator from the context menu. Now run the command as, net user to display a list of all user accounts on the system. To activate or re-activate Administrator account, run the command as,

    net user administrator /active:yes

and press Enter key. Reboot may help you.
