recoverying vp3 files

recoverying vp3s
Somehow when I was transferring my vp3s to a USB they became reformatted. Even though it still says vp3 at the end the adobe symbol is now on the file and the embroidery machine cannot recognise it.Nor is adobe able to open them because they are still vp3 file. Not that I want them to. return to the original download and begin again but once the computer had developed this process it seemed to take on its own life. Is there any way to return these vp3 files to their original formatting.

You could try one of the online embroidery file format converters and see if that fixes the issue.

Have you tried the adobe on another system, if possible? Please link here for more help, https://embroidery.marthapullen.com/design-file-downloading-help-hints

How do you know they became "reformatted"? Did you actually open and read them before and after? What process was used to do the transfer to the USB device? (What is the "USB" device?)

It's not clear what you said about trying again. Were you saying that the original .VP3 files now show the same behavior?
