I just edited a Microsoft Word 2010 document, saved and then closed it. However, I need to undo some of my edits (it was my mistake). Any chance I can get back the previous form? Thank you very much!

One more method is there, you can try your luck, you can recover the previous version of the word file through .tmp file. For windows 7, go to C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\

Now locate and find the temporary word file which begins with $ Or ~ & the extension is .tmp. Select the right word temp file by date/ time, then copy and save to another location by changing the extension as .doc/.docx.

For Windows 10, the .tmp files are in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\UnsavedFiles\

Moreover Word 2010 has a mechanism that can help you, open the file that you wanted to restore previous version. Click File tab at the top of the Microsoft Word tool bar. Next click Info > Versions & then select the desired version. Again click the Restore button at the top of the document. Select OK to get back the previous version of the document.
