Recover deleted files from used car website server and subpoena to do so

Deleted files
This one used car website supposedly doesn't keep archives because of volume of ads. But I need to get an ad posted in 2015 which shows that the car dealer put up the ad not private individual. I had it but my backup didn't work and I lost it. I know that police/FBI forensics can get this off the server because they do it all the time in homicides. I know I need a subpoena but does anyone know how to specifically get the deleted files and how to fill out subpoena to get that done?

Getting a subpoena is highly unlikely unless a crime was committed. You do not mention why you are considering this. Even if you did the data may no longer be there. As far as I know the dealer does not have to keep a record of their ads unless they want to for their own protection. If there is a legal issue here, my question is why is it coming up now if it started back in 2015? Just to let you know, you can't believe everything you see on TV when it comes to computers. A lot of what you see is for dramatic purposes. Real IT professionals get a laugh at what they want us to think is real.
