Random user lockouts

I have a mixed Server2K & NT 4.0 network. The "PDC" is the Server2K box, also running Exchange 2K. Randomly, the system seems to pick a user and lock them out at boot time. It is only 1 user at a time, with the daily lockout happening from 2 to 10 days. Aftert unlocking the account, user is Ok untill next boot. Then, the lockouts will stop for a few days, until a new random user is chosen. I can't locate anything in the system/software/security logs to indicate why. ? ? ? ?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Are NT systems at least at SP4? Win2k SP and updates current? Is the locked out user logging on to the domain or onto a local system? Is the local system the user is loggin on to visible from the server performing the authentication?
