I have installed Microsoft Office 2013 on Windows 7 64 bits. Every time I open the program, it consumed 96% of RAM and slowed the response. Finally not responding. How can I solve it?

Software/Hardware used:
Microsoft Office Suite 2013

    How much RAM is installed?

Like Raven said how much RAM do you currently have installed and how man other applications are running. Things like anti-virus, firewall, Internet browsers? If you do a CTL+ALT+DEL and check processes. AT the bottom it will display the total Physical Memory used. Look for process that may be running under image name that you may be able to end.

I don't use other applications. I open Microsoft word only and it consumed 96% RAM.

How did you sure that word consumes maximum ram! Have you installed any 3rd party application to measure this although you mentioned no other application. You have windows 7 64 bit, but this is not enough info, if possible disclose about your computer specifications.

Have you checked the system properties? Sometimes memory goes bad and you system may only be recognizing 2G RAM. Is this a desktop or laptop? You may want to check and make sure the memory chips are seated tight if the system is only showing 2G RAM.

There are a few online references to Office 2013 programs hogging RAM and causing crashes, and it seems like add-ons may be causing issue. It might be worth testing with/without add-ons disabled.
