If a person is using an Android phone just for personal use to send messages, pictures and news, does that need security? Also what is best for security?

For this type of user don’t need any big security, if you want security that protect you from malware and viruses, I suggest you to install avira antivirus security.

    No need for additional security to protect messages, pictures and news etc. Only Antivirus is enough for security.

    Android is based on Linux system, it such has a built-in security, that is enough for malware/ virus. So there is no need to install external anti virus to protect.

    You should be okay. Just be careful if you start downloading any apps. Look at what they are asking for permission to. If it is questionable do not accept the terms and uninstall it ASAP.

    Always think security because if someone was to hack the phone and send out damaging messages, it would fall back to the owner of the phone and then they have to prove that they did not send it.
