We have updated a couple of fields in our system, which are contained in many files. We also have batch jobs that run queries. Is there anyway around having to change each query individually so they don't stop processing because of errors?

What type of changes were made that are causing the queries to fail? Are the fields being changed used as input to screen or a report Or are they sent to an *OUTFILE? What error are you getting?

There might be workarounds, but we'd need to know some details of the files including old and new column definitions. Also, we'd need to know what errors are encountered (especially message IDs) and what functions receive them.

If they are only "queries", we need to know what kind of queries. QM queries? Embedded SQL queries? Native program queries? Query/400 queries? Any of all the other possible types of queries?

Hardest may be the old Query/400 queries, but all of those should have been converted a decade a more ago. Next hardest may be native program queries, and if source isn't available, they could be very difficult.
