DSPUSRPRF QSECOFR shows Previous sign on 08/01/16 05:34:21 Password verification not valid 0 Days before password expires 0 This suggests that a successful sign on took place but that the password is expired. Can anyone suggest why this is?

You can sign on successfully yet not change the password.  Depending on the password expiration interval assigned to the profile, the password may well have expired.

Check your system parameters for password controls. You may have them set to expire every 60 days for example. You can change individual profiles to override the system setting. Talk to your system admin.

If I run a DSPUSRPRF command to either the display or print, regardless of assistance level, I don't see "Days before password expires" as a constant anywhere on the screen nor in the report. Exactly how are you running the command?

I get the same results as Raven. I do see a date that the password will expire. but not a number of days. Are you using some 3rd party software?
