Public Folder: Task list email reminders

I would like to setup a public folder with a shared task list. The task list will contain action items for a group of people. When the due date approaches, if possible based on the reminder setting, I would like an email sent out. The email would be sent the any recipients listed as contacts for that task item. We use Exchange 2003, is this something that can be done with the base product or is there an addon product that would accomplish the goal. Thank You.

to bad they didnt have shared workspace for outlook.
other wise I think you either have to create it or buy it.
