We have a datasheet view list in Sharepoint with 6 fields. We want to protect 4 of them from changes while enabling the other 2 for checkbox and comments. I saw a post where in the customer creation of the list fields that you could enter something like =[FirstName] and that "protects" the field. I tried it and it and if I highlight the data I can change for formula to something different. Can't directly change the value but the formula can be changed. Could someone help me out on this. I really need a full proof way of protecting the values in this list. Thanks so much!
