Hello,
I was using Lotus Notes at Home to collect my e-mails and developed a problem.
I did a replication the first time and it worked OK. Some hours later I went to replicate
again but did not have the modem connected. I got a call failure message which is
expected. Problem is that I could not replicate after that. The message I am getting
is the "Replication Skipped Due to Previous Call Failure".
I'm using Notes client 6.5.3. My Location Preferences check out. I'm using the server copy not my local replica. I'm using Travel US as the location.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Wes
Any Ideas
I believe VK has the right idea that changing your location should help. Please keep in mind that replication copies information from the server to your local computer (laptop).
hi.,
Try this option. The access control for that database. You must hav the Manager Access to the both the databases. Go to Workspace, Set the database to Local and right click the database, select Database -> Properties. In the database properties window, Click Replication history. This give you the replication history window. Now click Clear to clear the replication history, and restart the replication freshly. This would solve your problem.
Most of the cases, clearing the Replication history, would solve the problem. That is what is said above.
Awaiting your reply on this.

Wes,
If you have not changed location since the replication failed, and the current location is not set to automatically dial up using your modem you simply need to do the following.
1. Switch to Location "Island" (or any "disconnected" loc)
2. Dial-in with your modem
3. Switch back to Location "Travel US".
4. Replicate
Notes will not normally re-try a connection with a Server for the current session at the current location unless you re-establish a connection before trying to replicate again, thus the error you are describing.
Regards,
Mat
