This is in an iseries 400 environment. I am using an Ovrprtf in an Qrpglesrc pgm. Another programmer originally set this up:
OVRPRTF FILE(SHPADVPT ) FRONTOVL(DMSPRDOBJ/SHPADV) DEVTYPE(*AFPDS)
HOLD(*NO ) SECURE(*YES) COPIES(2) OUTQ(PTSHPADV1 )
When the pgm runs, the print file resides in my spoolfile at a RDY status but it does not print unless I change the OUTQ in the spoolfile (CHGSPLFA) to the printer name I want to print it to.
The Printer dev is set to *OUTQ.
The printers that I am attempting to print to are: a HP LaserJet 4250 and a SHARP AR-P450. Is it possible that this is a hardware issue or is the OvrPrtF causing problems with the *afpds?
The Printers names are: PFLCSHIP(hp) & PMLC050(sharp).
Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you very much!!
