Printing in SunSystems Accounts package

Microsoft Windows
SQL Server
Does anyone have any experience in setting up a new Printer for Sun Accounts? We have just had a PCL card installed in a Konica 130F, and it will print from Windows Apps, from DOS but not from SUN Accounts. We have set up an Environment on the Windows Server, and the Printer in SUN, but nothing prints!!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can print from SunSystems, using either Windows environment or DOS environment.
To use Windows environment,

1. first install the printer.
2. Start SunSystems Spooler application (SunSpool.exe must be located in the application directory)
3. LogOn to SunSystems
4. Change the printer definition to SPOOL using PD option
5. Now you can print from SUN.

Thank you SanjuVora. I get an 'Invalid Dir Path' message when I double-clicked the sunspool.exe file - C:sun426_print*.spl How can I tell what the dir path should be? Regards Rob

Hi, Before printing, SunSystems application generated *.SPL files in a folder. The path of the folder is defined in SunSpool.ini configuration file. Kindly configure the INI file and create respective path in C drive. Please note - Printing depends on contents of this configuration file. Also which version of SunSystems app are you using? Cheers, Sanju.

Resolved. The users all logon to a W2K3 Server in a AD group. The Sunsystems package runs on another server and has another group set up. We added the users to the group and Sun prints !! Only problem now is the clunky font and line-wrap :( Any ideas?

What should I do then? When I clicked "ok" on the pop-up message, it bring me to the blank "notepad". Many thanks!
