Phone download speed faster than PC

My phone is using a 5ghz wifi band and is getting about 175Mbps download, while my PC is wired with a cat6 ethernet cable and is only getting 100Mbps. Is there a reason for this and can I fix it?

There are many other factors that play role in this like processor is one of the major differentiator. Two devices with different architecture can't just be compared on wired and not wired connection.

Are the phone and PC both using the same router for WiFi and Ethernet? What are the specs for the PC's Ethernet adapter? What class of service is the PC's router connected to?

When you ran the speed test, was that the only device on the network? If you had anything else running like streaming music or a movie that will cut down your network bandwidth and produce lower speeds. Hardware is also a concern as mentioned by Jaideep. If your  pc is under powered, say an i3 with 4 g ram and you had a lot of background apps running that will kill you speed as well.

In addition to the other questions already asked, is the PC connected directly to the router that provides the internet?
