PC Technician

I last attended college over 10 years ago. I was majoring in computer programming, but I did not receive a degree. Programming has always been a passion of mine, but I never went back. Since I have been with a company where I have work in a unrelated field. Recently this company has a position for a pc technician. I will be interviewed for the job this week, but now I'm scared I may not be taken seriously, because I do not have a degree, but I am confident that I can perform well in this position. Can you give me any advice on what can give me the edge over my competitors. I feel like this job was made for me. I have proven myself over and over with this company and I have letters of recommendations from some "Top Dogs", but in the end I'm afraid not having a degree will be my demise.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think you already have an edge over your competitors, in that you know the company (people, business, culture etc)

If and when you get this job, you can always go back to college and complete your degree, not having a degree can be balanced with work experience.

All I can say is best of luck…
