    You should change them so that they don't overlap. I don't see much more that can be said without seeing what the records look like (and are supposed to look like) on the screen. Simple copy/paste of screen text could be good enough.

    If you can break the screen into contiguous rows used by different formats ..

    Something like this

    TopRec rows 1-5

    MidRec rows 6-22

    FootRec rows 23-24

    you write two of these (DDS contains OVRLAY keyword) and exfmt the third

    You can perhaps use DDS Windows to define parts of the screen

    Is this due to multiple subfiles (split top/bot or right/left) or a "window" that opens on a function and overlays the initial display? It's all done behind the scenes in the DDS.
