Outlook Mailbox – Inbox – Mails Receive Notfication Problem

Hi All, I have been using MS outlook to send and receive mails in my office. The mails are not automatically delivered into the mail box (even if using send/receive option) Only if i click the INBOX the arrived mails are delivered. I have chkd all the options r correct. Can anyone tell me whats the problem? Shal i have to reconfigure the outlook? Thanks T Ramesh Ramesh.Thyagarajan@bwir.com

Hi there

I’ve just had exactly the same problem and have found a fix for it. Assuming you are using windows XP SP2 and are on a exchange server, you have to allow outlook through the firewall. That means go into the firewall and put outlook in the exception list.

    Can you please be more specific? What Outlook version? Do you use Exchange, another local server or your ISP's?
