Outlook display

I am using Outlook. My fonts are usually set, for the display, at 10, 11 or 12 pt. However sometimes, right in the middle of writing an e-mail, I do something and the font display gets very very small - about 2pt. Very difficult to read. I'm not sure how this happens or how to correct this. I can barely read what I am writing. As I said, the font is set correctly. Any help you can provide would be helpful.
