Dear Sir, I am using Outlook 2003 and i have PST let say "A.PST" whose size is 2GB Now i am going to transfer my 1 GB Mail Data from "A.PST" to Newly Created PST say "B.PST" but the size of "A.PST" Still showing 2GB can u please describe the method of decreasing PST file size.

Hello Mobilink,
what you have to do is shrink the PST file, to do this in Outlook right click the folder you see (the PST file itself) choose properties/advanced/size and then press the Compact Now button.

    You can also just open the .PST by using Outlook, then moving some of the contents into another .PST to shrink it.

    Another way is to rename this pst and your new pst will be created afresh.
