For Oracle 10g, I'm running a PL/SQL function that updates several rows. Is there a way for me to see how many rows were affected? I need this number in PL/SQL. Thank you.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can us the %ROWCOUNT cursor attribute like this:

UPDATE some_table
SET some_column = 'some value'
WHERE another_column = 'something';

DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Rows affected: '|| SQL%ROWCOUNT);
