CL Program
Hi All I had made the changes in the program and debug the same but while debugging it gives me the following message at open query file line as: Unmonitored message CPF9899 occurred at statement.
OPNQRYF FILE((F60SLB05)) QRYSLT('YTAN8 *EQ ' *CAT +
&EMP *CAT ' *AND YTATIM *GT &STARTDATE +
AND YTATOM *LE &ENDDATE ')
What does it mean? As I'm new to the AS/400, can you please suggest me and help. Thanks Anshul

    There are so many things that could be wrong .. OpnQryF is interesting to debug.

    1.  Looks like you are missing an * on an *AND

    OPNQRYF FILE((F60SLB05)) QRYSLT('YTAN8 *EQ ' *CAT +
    &EMP *CAT ' *AND YTATIM *GT &STARTDATE +
     --> AND YTATOM *LE &ENDDATE ')

    2. if YTAN8 is char then the value for it would need to have quotes around it

    OPNQRYF FILE((F60SLB05)) QRYSLT('YTAN8 *EQ ''' *CAT +
    &EMP *CAT ''' *AND YTATIM *GT &STARTDATE +
     *AND YTATOM *LE &ENDDATE ')

    I've done that by inserting three single quotes ''' where there is a pair '' it gets processed as actually put a ' in the string.  Then the third ' terminates the string.

    One trick is to create the string in a char field variable

    Then during test send yourself a message of the sting -- you will be able to see it as it's actually populated.

    And use that string variable in the QRYSLT statement.
