In a public area like train stations or airports, what would you say is safer: browsing the internet via mobile connection (tethering) or through publicly available Wi-Fi services?

    I  can't able to say this or that. Only thing you should keep in mind is your device must be fully protected on antivirus, firewall protection.

    I agree with Kevin. Mobile is the safest. Who knows who's controlling or has access to the Wi-Fi settings. I'd trust my mobile first.
