Hello, Would there be a setting in Microsoft Outlook 2016 that allows me to open attachments in an external window at all times (instead of the reading pane)? I just prefer it this way so I wanted to find out if it was possible. Basically, I want everything opened externally.

Did you want to open attachments without opening mail? Or just try to open them without Outlook? You can try this, Restart Outlook as an administer. In the Mail view, open mail folder containing the emails that have attachments. Now open the email in Reading Pane, then double click attachment in the Attachment Bar. In the popping up 'Opening Mail Attachment' dialog box, uncheck the 'Always ask before opening this type of file' option, & click the Open button. Restart Outlook as normal to take effect.
