On windows 2000 client computers cannot access folder

Please help me From my windows 2000 server, my client pcs are not able to access any shared folder. I tried going to start=Run and \Server_IP and also with server name It saying permission is denied, i checked everything, suddenly this problem started earlier it was working fine. I am having raid controller and configured domain on it for your information. Please suggest me, i am trying to avoid reinstallation.

what you want do first is login locally on the server and go to the folder that is being shared. right click the folder and go to properties. under properties go to the sharing tab. in the sharing tab make sure that the folder is shared. go to permissions on sharing tab and make sure that the EVERYONE group has READ access to the share. then save the changes. once that is done go to the SECURITY tab and set your group permissions, (e.g. – domain admins – full control, take off EVERYONE group and add the specific groups that you want to have access and what type of access you want them to have). usually when I get this error the SHARING part is the part I have forgotten.

    Make sure that the server service is started and if not, start it. If the server services is already started, then you may have some malicious software preventing the OS from sharing folders, including the admin$ shares. Tools you can use to check this are your anti-virus software, Spybot Search & Destroy, Lavasoft Ad-aware and Microsoft Defender, only to name a few.
