for instance----

- I would like to buy a ram if it is essentially a 32 gb ram. Or does it mean that it has 2 16 gb rams? I would be grateful to have the concept clear.

Usually memory is installed in matching pairs. For 32g ram that would be 2 memory sticks of 16g each for the total of 32. You just need to check your computers manual to see what the motherboard will support in both size (8, 16 or 32) and the speed. In you example 3200mhz.  You don’t want to create a bottleneck in moving data around. If you have a fast CPU and use slow memory, you are only hurting your system performance.

If there are two slots, you can use 16X2 16GBx2 3200MHz RGB DDR4 Desktop RAM. However you can take advice from an expert.
